just the way of things

Some days you just have to stay in your pajamas until noon. There's no other option.

And some nights you have to stay up until 12:30 reading even though you know you'll be awakened at 7am. It's just the way of things.

I beat a Gecko to death a couple days ago. It was disturbing, but it had to be done. There are always several Geckos hanging out around our front door (on the outside). And sometimes when the front door is opened, they run in the house. We can't have that with an infant now can we? So, I had to be the mama and kill it. Cause the papa was at work. It was black and looked slimy. Better than a snake though. I would just grab Levi and drive around all day until Nathan promised it was dead. Luckily, there are no snakes in Hawaii. No wild ones and no pets. Not allowed.

Anyway, the little devil reptile scurried into our house and freaked me right out. I hoped it would scurry right back out but it just hid underneath our hall rug. So, I nudged at it until it showed it's ugly self, and I beat it with a nearby newspaper. Then I swept it up into a dust pan and flinged it out the door. I am woman...hear me roar. I almost became ill, it creeped me out so much to have to do that.

On to pretty subjects... Levi is doing well. He's just a loving little affectionate boy. He likes to give hugs and kisses and snuggle with mama sometimes. He gets so excited and grabs my face. He obviously does not understand that it hurts. His kisses are shown by either licking me or sucking on my skin. Sometimes he'll just lean back and look at my face for a few seconds, and then grab at me in an excited hug. He's very loving. He smiles with his whole face now. He bares his teeth and wrinkles up his nose.

The other day, he was in the living room playing, and I went into the kitchen to grab something. When I came back around the corner, I found him like this. Luckily I had just emptied that trash can!

devil reptiles are no fun. I never could get use to all the crazy chameleons in Austin. No snakes is defiantly a plus though, good policy.

Alexander is very affictionate too, I wonder if boys are in general? That would be odd.

Why is there no spell check on this comment box? There should be spell check every where.

Sick! You should receive some kind of award though. I could never do that!
