Levi and I have been doing some crafty things lately. I don't know if it's his age, the fact that he's a boy, or that he's not going to be an artist, but he doesn't get too involved in coloring or crafts. I ask him if he wants to color, and he says yes, but then gets bored after about 2 minutes. But, he will tell me what to draw and watch me color for a long time. So, when we decided to do this craft together, it really just means, I colored and Levi watched and bossed me around. Nevertheless, it was fun. We made this particular paper because on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, they fly into space in a rocket and have to fly over a pattern of big and little stars while singing. Levi likes all songs, and all patterns, so he always asks for his "clubhouse rocket" and plays along with them. Now we have our own star pattern. And it's tacked to his wall over his bed. He plays and sings with it quite often.
Here he is reenacting the scene.
This is his new game. I thought it would be fun to start buying some children's bored games and play together. The first game we picked out is a Mickey Mouse Memory game. I think he does rather well. I lay the cards face up, rather than face down, cause he'll have to work his way up to remembering where they are without seeing them. But, they're all jumlbed and he has to find the pairs. I taught him what a pair is, and that the pictures need to be the SAME. That was the key word for the day. And I only needed to tell him once.
We were all proud.
The next few pictures are from my cell phone, so they're a little grainy. I put Levi's hair in a mohawk in the bath the other day and it was so ridiculous I had to go public with it. Time for another hair cut I guess. Just a trim...no buzz cut.

That's really a lot of hair.

I told him, "You have crazy hair." And he reached up like this and said, "Crazy hair?" with the concerned look on his face. After he saw the pictures, he was okay with it.
And I just wanted to make the comparison...cause I like to look back.
This is the day we gave Pippin away. We went to a shopping center and walked around a bit to distract ourselves. But, it was a very blue day, and he got new very red sunglasses (that he picked out himself) so it made for some pretty pictures. Unfortunately that doofy guy is not only in the picture, but looking at my camera. Geesh! Anyway, Levi is saying, "Should I jump down there?"
And this one is a new favorite. It's just so cool.

This picture is for all the google fans in the Buckner family. It's a pretty good hat for him to wear when he's playing, because the bill is so big it really blocks the sun. So, thanks Pop, Gabe and Google.
The next two pictures are just because he's so cute and smiley. He's a delight.

Sorry to hear about Pippin. Kids do better than we adults with stuff like that. The mohawk is great.
Yes he is a delight! He just makes me smile so much as I look at each picture.
