bowling and tutus

Per usual I am behind on my blogging and the virtual piles of superfluous pictures I take are stacking up. And so, fittingly we will start this day off with a brother/sister tea party. All these pictures are just from a couple days several weeks ago when my kids presented me with way too many grand photo opportunities. How can I not capture Spider man and his little sister, Dora sitting down on some cardboard for a pretty pink cup of tea?
Levi started asking me many many months ago if we could go bowling together. I've always had to tell him, "I will take you sometime when Gracie can stay behind. She's not big enough to go with us." He was very understanding and has patiently waited. Then one random day he says, "can you leave Gracie with Papa tonight so you and I can go bowling?" And so, I now present you with a tour of Levi's first time ever bowling. It's quite exciting.
Super fly bowling shoes, sparkly and bright bowling balls. It's a dreamy sport.

He was really cute hauling that ball up there. He just went straight for it. After a few times he got to the point where he'd almost jog to the line and sorta hurl the ball down the lane. It worked all right for him.

He was very focused on the game. I talked to him about how bowling is a game for big people and that if he wanted to play he'd have to behave accordingly. Each time he took his turn he would throw the ball and watch it the whole way down. He didn't turn until he knew how many pins he'd knocked down. So much anticipation!

It was a fun little mother/son date. I'm not sure that we've had that opportunity possibly since Gracie was born.
Gracie is tiny and darling and so much fun to dress up. it's made even more fun when her Auntie Vera sends awesome stuff she makes, like these rocking leggings. Just her standing there is cute enough, but then I say, "dance Gracie" and it's on!

Then big brother comes in and turns it into super hero style dancing.
You can tell this was a few weeks ago because the sun is shinning, the sky is clear, and she's not wearing a heavy jacket to the park. This may have been the last time we went to the park. We're full on into winter now. And i love it.
I'm gonna have to study up on my thesaurus and expand my vocabulary because I'm running out of ways to say, "she is so stinkin' cute!!!"

Levi looks like he enjoyed bowling very much, his expressive face must be rewarding!
