Random and Father's Day

Levi does new things everyday it seems. I can't keep up in recording them. He does this cute little dance now with his feet. I call it the Muppet dance because it reminds me of Kermit the Frog. He just shuffles his feet and hops from one to the other quickly. I think he discovered it one day when he was stumbling and thought it was fun.
He's been shaking his head "no" for several weeks now. But now he's starting to do the "yes" shake. It's funny though, cause he kinda does it with his whole body. It's taking the same pattern the "no" shake took. At first he just does it for fun, and then he'll use it for it's meaning. He actually tells me he doesn't want something by shaking his head "no." But "yes" is still just a game.
He is in love with shoes. He knows what they are by name...(he doesn't say it yet, but he knows when I say it.) All day long he brings me one or both of his shoes to put on him. He actually helps me put them on him though. He holds onto the table or my sleeve or something and lifts his little foot up to put it into his shoe. And if it's the wrong foot, I'll say, "Other foot" and he switches. Now that he has "other foot" figured out I'll have to start saying "right" or "left" foot to teach him that. He seems very smart to me. He is so observant that he learns things quickly and without me actually trying to teach him. Then when I really do try to teach him, it's take no time because he pays attention.
He's starting to get really silly. Making faces, and dancing around. Just laughing out loud...very loudly...at nothing. Just something he was thinking about apparently. He does things just to make us laugh, and then he'll laugh. Lately, when I take him in his room for nap time, he'll lay his head down on my shoulder, for a while. And then he'll press his nose up against my nose, keep his mouth open and look up and to the left and just keep his face there with a grin on his open mouth until I laugh.
He is learning to climb now. In the last week or so he's been all the sudden on top of something. It's the beginning of the end now. He's going to have lots of bruises from falling. But that's how boys learn...sometimes. Sometimes that's just how they keep trying it again hoping it'll work out better this time. Anyway, his first successful climbing adventure was into the windowsill. It's perfect for him. He has fallen back down a few times, but doesn't seem to mind too much. It's worth it. I love this picture of him peeking around the curtain. And the other picture with his cute little arm pit. The things a mama loves.

Levi loves to bring one of us the leash to put on Pippin and then "walk" him. This is how he likes to do it best. He puts the leash around his own neck too. I guess he thinks if Pippin has it on his neck, then he should too. Pippin used to get all excited when we handled his leash, and he would hop around and wait at the door. Well, he's over all that. Now he knows he's gonna have to walk back and forth through the house behind Levi. He gets his Eeyore look on and just slugs around.

Levi loves to play any form of peek-a-boo now. But especially looking around something at you. He does it allot at the back door now. Even though he can see you through the glass it's still exciting to look around it for a new view. And yes, he presses his face up to it now. ;)

I like this picture below of them playing just for the laughing smile that you can see on Levi's face. It's not a great portrait or beautiful composition, but it shows the love of a boy for his dog.

Now onto Father's Day. Instead of a card for Papa, we made a t-shirt for Levi to wear on Father's Day. Here he is modeling it. It's the picture of Nathan holding Levi when he has his superman cape on. And beside it says, "My Papa is my Hero."

We didn't do much that day...upon Nathan's request of course.
We skipped church like little Heathens so "we" could watch the race that started at 6:30 in the morning...for crying out loud. We ordered Ruby Tuesdays to go. On Holidays for me, we eat out at the actual restaurant. Holidays for Nathan we bring the food home. So, that's about all we did. Eat and lounge around. Nathan's two favorite things. All of us together being fat and lazy. ;) Who doesn't want that...really? I took some pictures of the two of them of course. So some of those follow. Also, Levi said "Papa" for the video camera, so that was sweet. We know he can say some words, but he doesn't choose to very often. So, it's nice when he will.

Levi looks big...until he's with Papa.

This last one wasn't actually taken on Father's Day. But it's just too cute with his little face. He loves to sit on the motorcycle.

sounds like he is really coming into his personality and getting fun! Very dumb that he is so far away from me! It's all about me you know.
I love the pictures of him in the window.
The girls love to put Joey on his leash and lead him around too, Joey doesn't think it is such a fun game.
Alexander is a big shoe fan, all shoes, all the time.
Great shirt you had made for Nathan. The shirt we got for Faron says "Dad, a son's first hero, a daughter's first love"

He is going to be so full of his personality when we get to come see you guys! I can't wait. He sounds like you with all your early-to-be-goofy goofiness! But he sure looks like Nathan with blue eyes. Love the head shake stories, I can just see it! And the shoe stories. He'll be fun to homeschool since he likes to learn! I love his armpit too. I'm so glad he loves his doggie. Me loving that dog was a waste! The father's day shirt is great and the pics too. Nice blog, frog, keep it up, it's all we've got, and it's all about us you know.
