Thanksgiving and a hair cut

Levi got a hair cut last night. This is his hair discarded on the floor afterwards, obviously. Seriously though, couldn't that be a grown man's toupee?! That's the only reason I wanted to post this gross picture.

Anyway, so we gave him a haircut. He sweats all day long and his hair is always wet and stuck to his head. He had so much hair, and I think it was just annoying to him. So, I thought we should just buzz it off and see how it works out. So, now he kinda looks like a little army punk or something. Still cute, but, I don't think we'll do it quite this short in the future. The picture below shows part of why it was just too long. That's just silliness to wake up to, come on!

Here's his before shot.

And after. Still very cute, but also very different from before.

He looks especially like a punk when he yells at me. He just started yelling at me when I tell him no or discipline him. Which will only bring more discipline. Honostly.

And here's how we spent Thanksgiving. We didn't have a working stove...(still don't by the way) so we had to make do without a feast. We did as many traditional things as we could. We had Nathan's family tradition of Celery with creme cheese and peanut butter. That's what Levi's chowin' on here. We had pre-made pies, which weren't very good. And Nathan made punch. Then we ordered Pizza. Just like the pilgrims.

We also decorated for Christmas. Our trips to the mainland held us back. Usually we would have already had our decorations up by Halloween. So, this year we were normal and did it on Thanksgiving. This is Nathan and Levi going over which stocking belongs to whom. (see the smoke stained walls. Aren't they lovely?)

And then putting together our lame-o artificial tree.

Helping me decorate the tree. Last year Levi was 7 months old for Christmas. I think he'll get more out of it this year. He's gonna get some fly presents too. Saturday we're gonna start watching our Christmas movies!

oh my gosh he looks like a little Nathan punk.
Alexander wore a stocking cap all day the other day and when he took it off all his hair was pressed down to his head, except for the curls at the bottom and you could totally picture him as a half bald man, it was weird.

Decorating for Christmas in a smoke fest must be fun.

That is one serious buzz! It's so shocking for his age I think. Makes him look 5. But wow those eyes! Levi helping decorate the tree is awfully cute. I can't believe you don't have a stove yet! Darn that pyro Pippin!
