I can't believe we only have a month left here. How crazy to be doing the moving thing all over again. We're pretty excited though. So far the lifestyle of the military agrees with us. We're ready to move on to the next new place. The only thing we're not ready for is deployments. But, I'm just trusting God and focusing on the big picture. And I think Nathan's tactic is to just ignore it.
Here are a few pictures from the past month or so. One day Levi and I decided to go on a photo walk. We had our cameras and documented our journey.
We played at a park, of course. We took Levi's plastic baseball and bat and practiced that for a bit.
This castle is the bleacher area for the baseball field on base. It's pretty neat, and Levi loves to go walk around in it. He says it's the tallest tower.
Lining the track are dozens of short trees that blossom purple flowers. I don't know what they're called, naturally. But, they're very pretty and colorful. Levi and I decided to go take off our shoes and walk through the fallen petals.

A couple weeks ago I was invited to a Mary Kay facial party. That left Levi and Nathan alone for a few hours on a Friday night. So, this is what I came home to find. 2 sweaty boys sitting in a pile of disassembled wood with tools in their dirty hands.

Apparently this was plan B.
This face is because that snooty little boy is saying, "Hey, stop taking pictures!"
He was very into it. And Nathan says he was pretty helpful getting him the tools he requested.

This is the end result. Nathan and Levi took the entertainment unit apart, and then made a big toy chest. It's great. And, we're gonna put cushioning and fabric on the top and make it a window bench.
Here are just a few pictures from a day outside. It was raining, so we stayed under the car port and colored on the pavement.

Levi became distracted pretty quickly by the dozens of ants crawling through his drawing. Here he is jumping on them...you know, to kill them.

The 4th of July. It was pretty low key for us. We were sick that whole week leading up to the 4th so we decided with little discussion to just stay home and make it special in doors. I made apple Cinnamon pancakes for brunch and Chicken Fajitas for dinner. We watched some patriotic/American type of movies while sneezing and coughing on the couch. And we of course had some sparklers.
Levi was pretty wary of the whole experience. He stayed back and just observed. No touching or holding or anything of that sort.
The closest he got was trying to blow it out from a few paces away.

We could hear some fireworks from inside, so Levi's response was to tell them, "Be quiet Fireworks!" He also decided that blowing his "flute" back at the loud noise might silence it into submission.
But, when they kept on booming he said, "They don't listen."

We ended the night by watching fireworks on our big tv...and watching the end of Mahjong where the fireworks go off in celebration of your victory. It really was better than being in a crowded field fighting for a place to sit on the ground. And then having to sit in traffic for the 10 mile drive home.

This is what they're taking apart. It used to be our entertainment unit. It's huge and heavy and doesn't fit our new tv. We've been trying to unload it on someone before we move.
Apparently this was plan B.
