Waiting for Papa to come home

I've been taking enough pictures lately so I figured I'd go ahead and get them out there. We're just keeping busy and exploring the tiny town here until Nathan gets home.
This is on one of our rose bushes in our front yard. I like it when there are already established flowers in my yard. I can't pull it off.

I'm pretty sure my lovely baby bump has grown in the last couple days. I can feel it stretching and pulling. Nice, right? Nathan's gonna be blown away when he sees...and feels her kicking around like crazy. Although so far she doesn't kick as fiercely as Levi did. Cause she's a princess.Levi got a haircut this week. He was such a big boy for it. Always before he has been a wreck about hair cuts. We always end up just buzzing it off at home instead of torturing him or some poor hair dresser with his "near death experience" behavior. But I didn't want Nathan to have to deal with it as soon as he gets home either. So, I told him he had to get a haircut and that he needed to be still and calm. Finally he's at an age of reasoning. He saw other people getting their hair cut, noticed there were no accidental deaths or outright murders, and figured he could relax about it. He just conversed with the nice girl cutting his hair. It was very impressive. And now he looks so grown up.

Another way we've been keeping busy in the last week or so is to make posters for Papa's return. We made a calendar to count down the days until his return, and we also are making celebratory "welcome home" type of signs to hang in the house. Levi enjoys getting to just go nuts on a big white poster bored.

He also enjoys cap fingers, apparently. It's one of those things that you just don't have to teach them to do.
I really like this picture. He did that pose all on his own.
People here might not be cold yet; I'm not sure. But, we are! We have not dealt with any sort of winter in the last 6 years. Levi has never dealt with it! So, we have already equipped ourselves with hats, gloves, scarves, coats....all of it. So the rest of the pictures are sort of like dressing up. It's new to Levi.

These last two pictures are a comparison. As I was looking at the photos we took today I was reminded of some from a few years ago. We happened upon a box of hats in the closet and played with them. Levi is barely 1 in this. I like comparisons.
