I take too many pictures

More proof of Charlie's greatness. He loves bubbles just like a kid. He was trying to get the wand; note his paw on the tub.

They had lots of fun and tore through that little bottle of bubbles lickity split.

I'm telling you, Charlie was competing with Levi to pop the most bubbles. He was on his hind legs jumping to get to them first. I'm sorry I didn't get pics of that...I had Gracie strapped to me

Baby toys hold appeal for all ages...and species.

They do get dull after a while though so wrestling takes over. All Shalz boys and dogs in attendance. Sudden attacks are necessary to bring down the giant.

Power quickly switches hands though.

Levi has been asking to hold Gracie pretty often lately. It only lasts for a short second but still nice. Though I do have to remind him that he can not pick her up by himself. As I was doing laundry the other day, Gracie was lying on the couch and started to fuss. Levi always runs to her aid when she cries and most times sticks a pacifier in her mouth. This time he ran over to her and was picking her up when I came out of the laundry room. He only had her a couple inches off the couch and then gently set her back down when I said, "oh...put her back." She didn't care, though her head was....unsupported. ;) Anyway, he likes to be involved. In this picture he is saying, "Nice feet you got there."

I love this picture. They look so sweet. Just talking and hanging out.

Nathan's birthday was last week so we had to decorate and make a deal. Levi painted the birthday signs. I was pretty impressed with his artistry. I wrote the words and then he had control over the rest. Oh and, does anyone else notice how thick and kid like he is now? All the sudden, bam! he's a meaty boy instead of a light toddler. It was seriously over night. I'm still reeling.

Gracie had to join in the dress down for painting party. This is one of my definite favorite pictures of her. I love her face in it. And her little kicking feet.

Levi opening Papa's presents for him. He was so hippity hoppity about it all day long just waiting to "share papa's birthday." That particular present was from Levi, of course.

Unfortunately for the second year in a row, Nathan was sick for his birthday. He got home, opened his gifts, ate his delivered pizza and then fell into a spot on the floor for the rest of the evening. This is us presenting him with his birthday "cake" and song.

Levi joined him on the floor for a little movie watching/nap.

Gracie napping in her swing for the "party" She wore her supportive "daddy" shirt. That's what Nathan wants her to call him; so she can be daddy's little girl. So, now he's both papa and daddy.

Auntie Vera is a knitting little mama so she sent some cutie pie things for Gracie girl. A crown, since she obviously is a princess.

And the sweetest little booties. Right now they're a little big, so they won't really stay on. Still darling though.

She's just so cute. I pretty much take pictures of her all day long. Every baby needs bath pictures.

The other day around lunch time the door bell rang. No one ever comes to our house, so it was very exciting to Levi. The three of us (me Levi and Gracie) went to answer and found Nathan on the front step with these flowers in his hands for me and Gracie. No particular reason other than treating his girls. Mine was a bouquet of Gerber daisies and Gracie Bella's was a basket of various flowers. I don't know what they are, Grammy can comment with the names.

This is a video of Levi, the actor. He just randomly started acting out this couple second scene. I asked him who he was being and he said, "Just me, Levi." I asked if he got it from a movie and he said no. I said, "where did you learn it?" He said, "From me." So, he just felt like making up a little emotion. Aunt Martha says he should take acting classes soon...apparently she may be right. That is how I met his father.
oh and what he says as he's running away down the hall is "you're the prettiest in the whole world."
