All my pretty peeps
This isn't a super flattering picture, but it is cute. Levi is doing "this little Piggy" to Gracie's toes
Levi does enjoy (from time to time) preforming his big brotherly duties. On this occasion he fed her the entire bottle. He definitely likes to help with most of the daily baby jobs. His biggest job is going and getting things for me that I need.
She has to be burped. His favorite part.
Grandma Connie sent all the makings for a pine cone bird feeder. Papa and Levi assembled it together.
On the day of Gracie's one week mark I looked back at pictures of Levi from the same check point. I tried to take some similar poses of Gracie for easy comparisons.

Gracie Bella's first outing...Walmart of course! It was also Levi's first social event as an infant. We have similar pictures for him.
Gracie likes to just lie in her bassinet during her short times throughout the day when she's actually awake and stare at everything around her. On this day I had her pulled up next to the big window in the living room. She was just chillin with the view.
She's is quite a smiler. I don't know what's normal timeline wise for first smiles, but she starting smiling at us in the hospital. And she's even giggled a few times. She smiles several times every day in response to our voices or faces or even something funny. She loves to be held and cuddled. When she's done eating and I have her on my shoulder to burp her, she always lifts her head as much as she can and gets her face positioned next to mine so that our cheeks are touching. She's done it enough times that I can know it's deliberate. I just know she's gonna be so sweet.
Her shirt speaks the truth. She does love him. If he's anywhere near (which he always is) she looks for him. She likes when he talks to her and quiets immediately. Last week Levi and I spent a good 20-30 minutes making up songs about Gracie Bella while she sat in her swing and watched us with smiles here and there.

Gracie is changing every time I see her picture. She looks just like Levi, the one in the pink outfit anyway. Sure is a cute little girl.
Such a happy little family.
I think that is early for smiling, though Sophia was the same way, maybe being born with little people constantly adorning you makes you a happy baby.
Oh what a beautiful little baby she is! I bet she is so happy to be "out" where she can hear and see everyone she used to only hear darkly. Isn't 3 wks what they usually say for smiling? But a Mom knows what her kids are doing for real!
She's fabulous! I'm so glad got to see her smile in her sleep while I was there. And it was a huge, full face smile. Baby Anna smiled at Gabe and Vera when she was hours old, in the hospital recovery room! I do think the younger ones get to be more carefree.
