crazy kids

I'm dedicating a short post to the unimportant parents. Obviously this blog is really about Levi and Gracie. Mama and Papa faces rarely appear; especially without a child face nearby. But, just to boost our own lesser important egos I figured I'd a couple superficial changes we've taken on. While Nathan was gone to Vegas I got my hair cut. It's very similar to what I've been sporting for the last couple of years. But each time I do it, I go a little shorter.

I must say Angie's dye job still looks superb after about 5 months! That girl needs to travel with me.

The haircut was also in preparation for my most recent adventure. I finally felt brave enough to get the tattoo I've always wished I could. I've thought for some time now that a tattoo would be awesome to have. I love jewelry and accessories so it's only natural that I would like the idea of a little skin decor. Sadly I have always considered it way to painful and myself too wimpy. I told myself that if I could endure this second c-section with a strong and brave attitude then I could handle a tattoo. The surgery and recovery went quite well, thus I kept my logic and made the appointment. I think it's pretty and I love it.

The experience was not bad. Nathan had to stay with the kids so I took a newly made friend with me. She helped to distract me with talking and then halfway through the tattoo artist admitted to watching American Idol! So the three of us discussed contestants and musical preferences the rest of the time. It was pretty funny.
It hurt, of course. But it was bearable and worth it. It's for my little family. The Dark blue butterfly is Nathan, the baby blue Dragon fly is Levi and the pretty pink Butterfly is Gracie Bella.

Nathan has recently made the change to wearing glasses. His vision has been giving him headaches for a while, I believe, but he has ignored it. However, a computer job forces a person to handle vision problems or else be in pain all the time.

He rocks the glasses. I think it's sexy...it's my right.
He felt the need to point out that he has a nerdy computer job and glasses now, and I'm out getting tattoos. What has this world come to?

I love your hair. It's really cute! I also like the tat. I got a tattoo of a little blue butterfly when I was 18. I got it on the side of my stomach and it was very painful to get it but I endured. I don't like the placement anymore but hey, it's forever so I can't do anything about it : )

I picked a butterfly because I had just done a play in high school called, "I never saw another butterfly" about the Holocaust. It symbolized freedom to me. I was quite the free spirit at that age ; )

Maybe I'll get brave and take a belly picture from the other side one week.

Oh, and make sure you put a ton of sunscreen and lotion on it so it keeps the bright colors. Mine has faded from the sun, which is bound to happen. But I'm sure I could have done a better job of protecting it.

I like the tatoo, very pretty.
The glasses are nice too. Faron has to have his glasses for computer work or he gets a headache too.

Anna, you look beautiful! Those highlights are pretty superb. I haven't died my hair in years but if I did it again, I'm gonna have to get that Angie to do it.
