filling the days without papa

For the last couple weeks we've been having patches of good outside weather. This is obviously the coldest place we've lived so not being able to go outside in flip flops everyday takes a little adjustment. We're not as bad off as our friends and family in Missouri of course. Levi goes outside to play with Charlie in the backyard most days. But usually I have to tell him I can't come too because it's too cold for Gracie. So finally there was a bright sunny day paving the way for Gracie's first outdoor play time.
Don't ya like Levi's sunglasses on her head? Unfortunately it's hard to find two month size sunglasses and baseball caps. Really even if we were still in Hawaii I wouldn't take her outside anymore than I am here, because it's too hot and sunny for infants there.
Outdoor time is definitely shorter here however, even for big brothers. We have to do wild things inside too. Like reveal our true selves. Doesn't he look super?
Naturally this is the next step.
All that's left is to duel. Charlie probably won.
It takes true talent to pull of more than one super hero in a day. But Levi's up to the challenge. Shortly after Papa had to leave for work trip I gave into Levi's plea to buy Buzz Lightyear Wings. I do tend to spoil him a little with treats when Papa is gone. You gotta have something going for you when you "real miss papa."
He's got it down pretty well.
As always, his faithful sidekick. Bat dog...Slinky...whatever he needs to be.
Gracie also got a new toy during our trip to Target to spend away our missing papa blues. Sometimes I get the feeling she's bored....I think she's entirely too young to be bored, but what can I do? She enjoyed this quite a bit. I have a video to show that. I'll probably post that on facebook...easier.

I imagine Levi will be testing out all her toys from this day forward. She doesn't mind so far. Though the day is sure to come. I really think she'll be the kind of little sister who soaks up his attention though. I can already see it in her eyes.
This is what happens when you're a 3 year old boy sent to clean up your room. Modeling a rediscovered pair of random antlers becomes priority #1.
He's very secure in his masculinity. "Excuse me sir, your midriff is showing."

It was a bit snug....this is the "I think I'm choking" pose.

All very cute pics. I love Levi's super hero dress up time. That's always fun for boys and girls!

In that first pic it looks gorgeous outside! I can't believe Washington is having better weather than Missouri. Stupid Missouri. If we had our way we would live in Phoenix and never have to deal with cold/snow/ice, whatever. I really thought Landon was bored all winter long and I don't blame him. I was bored.

Lol, to "too hot and sunny". We had to take Landon out and put him in the sun when he was all brand new due to the terrible jaundice issue. I figure I'll still be taking walks with both the kiddos all summer long. They can sweat a bit if I can ;) I can't sit in the house for too long or I go stir crazy!

His face looks different, older I guess, more filled out like a little boy face.
I love that picture of Gracie's eyes, little doll.

Funny boy, he is such a super hero, good to see he is using his super powers with his trusty super dog. Gracie is filling out ok. She is a sweet thing.
