6 month old Bella Daisy

Gracie is half a year old! Craziness, right? She's getting to be a big little sister, all about her big brother.

I don't know why in particular. But I like this picture of both their heads. Levi has great hair.

True to form we had a wee celebration for the half birthday lass. Levi was very into it, naturally. He knows how we do what we do. Party when the opportunity strikes. During her first nap we got busy blowing up balloons. I think he looks so old in this picture. I really like it and it also makes me sad.

Levi was very impressed with Gracie having a half birthday and as soon as she made one peep he was ready to sprint to her room with the basket full of balloons. She woke up to a very excited brother pouring a party into her crib. I like her face here.

One of my favorite "month" pictures from Levi's infancy was when he had his half birthday party and he's in the midst of bright balloons in his crib. So I tried to recreate that fun scene for Bella girl too.

I L-O-V-E that her room is the embodiment of pink. Her pink curtains cast a pink hue on the whole room when the sun shines through them. It's so pleasant and girly.

She got one little gift for the day and of course levi was there to help her open it. He loves crawling into the crib with her.

Party animal big bro
He was jumping around like a ball pit. I'm amazed at the stuff Levi can do around and sometimes to Gracie and she just doesn't even bat an eye. I'm sure that someday they will bicker like most do, but right now, he can do no wrong.

This picture is great. A little scary right? But great still.
Wearing her new pretty in pink dress.
6 month princess! She's doing lots of new things. Obviously she's sitting up now. She's also starting to get on hands and knees and rock back and forth. Like they always so when they want to crawl. And she's doing that cute thing all babies learn to do. They smack things with their flailing arms with more purpose and aim. She likes to have something in her hand and just wave her arm back and forth and up and down hitting things with it. I think it's really cute. She's also reaching out for me subtly when she wants to be held. She reaches out to touch faces and hair too. She loves Levi's hair. It's the first thing she goes for on him....to pull of course.
Levi showing her the "half birthday" cards we made for her. He was every bit as into it as I was. And if Papa had been here he would have outdone us both with excitement I'm sure.
She's a "ministainer" That quote is for you Vera. And maybe Nathan if he reads it on the ship.

It's an ice cream cone. Levi is so imaginative and creative these days. He's a kid now. He is full of stories and directions and ideas. He's pretty good at carrying out his ideas too. He's been playing computer games lately and I'm just so impressed at how I don't have to tell him anything. He just sits at the computer and clicks away. He follows the audio instructions and just figures things out. He got that from Nathan, and I'm so glad.
Well, Gracie Bella has had her first baby food now. And forever my friend's dog, Drake will be in our family memories. We had him at our house for about a week and a half and he was into the baby food scene.

She's pretty much unimpressed with all of it. She's fine with the different thing I've given her. At this point she's had green beans, squash, bananas and carrots. She really doesn't seem to about any of them. It's hard to tell when she's full because she just opens her mouth obediently and eats, but makes no real reaction. Her true excitement is reserved for her beloved bottle. She eats just to humor me I think.

She took her first bath in the kitchen sink. It may happen more cause it was pretty handy. She really likes bathing in all it's forms so she enjoyed it.

She's just a rootin tootin cutie pattotie; all there is to it

Everyone is always involved in everything. Even Charlie. And that was the end of Gracie Bella's half birthday celebration.

What I really love about your blog is how you don't miss any details of your kids growing up. SO many moms send their kids off to day cares for someone else to raise them and they aren't there for all the little things like you get to share with us about. I really appreciate moms who raise their own babies and hope to do it myself someday :)

Hmm, Anna. Maybe we do look alike after all because some of the Gracie pics look exactly like me when I was a baby. The picture of Levi holding Gracie IS scary but also very cute. I like how detailed your blog is and you always have such awesome pics of your chillens.
