Time without him

A few weeks ago Nathan had to go on yet another trip. This time he's on the ship doing war games and he's gone a total of 8 weeks. This picture was the day before he left. Gracie Bella is getting some daddy time even if he's napping.


I wanted to take some pictures of him with his babies so I could send him some in the mail while he's out there alone and missing us. Levi is very observant and he picked up on the sentiment I guess.


So obviously we've been on our own now and trying to fill the long days. Gracie and Levi have really come together and started playing alot in the last few weeks. Bella girl can sit up now and hold toys and laugh with him and do all these things that make Levi want to hang with her. Playing super heroes together.

I love her face here...she's the giant and she's about to eat Iron Man's head. That really was the game.

Levi apparently got some poison ivy while in St. Joseph. It started to reveal itself a couple weeks after we got back. I was taking a picture of it to send Nathan and since Levi didn't even notice it he just figured he needed to pose for the camera. He had it on his chest and arms and under arms. It did bother him some with itching but he really didn't seem to mind too much. I was worried he'd be really freaked out by it.

We put up Levi's old baby swing for a new experience for Bella baby. She thought it was kinda fun but mostly she just was delighted when Levi was standing in front of her.

The weather his this summer is very unpredictable. One day it's sunny and warm enough for shorts and the next few days it's cold and windy and Gracie needs a hat and gloves.

She's so cute

This is Levi's new Elvis face. He's pretty into his different faces as he is of course dramatic and into acting out every little notion he gets. Today, all day, he was singing almost everything he said. You wonder when you watch a musical, "is this supposed to seem normal? who sings their sentences?" Levi...that's who.
