visit from grammy and pop

We had some house guests a couple weeks ago. The kind that little people get super excited about. The kind that play every game, listen to every story, and pretty much obey every command. And they came bearing gifts.

Charlie, who thinks he's one of the kids anyway, was also overly excited to play with Grammy and Pop.

Pop was excited to buy Levi his first base ball and glove. For Christmas they got him the t-ball set, so he knows all about the sport now and he was geared up to play catch.

Again, Charlie wanted to be involved. Though I guess it's pretty understandable with a ball.

Here he is going after a ground ball. He did catch on pretty well. Someday when it's not so cold, we'll actually go outside and start practicing. I can handle this sport, even when Nathan's not here to help coach.

Grammy tried to be involved in catch but she had a "my bad" mishap, and was benched by Levi. She got to hold the gear once Levi was ready to play at the park.

Nathan had Monday off so he was able to be our tour guide Ken doll. We took them to see my favorite beach park, but it was so windy that we couldn't walk around too much.

Gotta get a joy grand kids picture

We also went to the downtown city park for some harbor views and park play.

Levi just loves having a captive audience. Grandparents are certainly good for that!

I personally think we provide lots of amazing spots for people to visit us.

This was an attempt to capture a great scene admired by Pop. The sun shining out over the water, and the fog in the distance of mountains.

She's just the cutest ever. I can't stop taking pictures of her.

And we end the stroll with a ride in the flinstone car.

What a great visit except for Grammy getting benched! :/ Was she naughty?

That was such a fun day! I love the weather there. Cool and crisp but being outside can happen, even in January. Plus the crazy driftwood bones on the beach. And the most fabulous park right in your back yard. That's one more benefit of base housing. Yeah, I was bad. I tossed Levi a ball that he missed and it hit him in the face! He took it personally and preferred I not pitch any more. It was harrowing for us both! We managed to get over it and have loads of fun anyway---plus later I let him tromp in a 3" puddle till he and Charlie were soaked. Cause I'm Grammy, bad pitches and all.
