birthday bella

My little baby girl turned 1 a couple weeks ago! Can you even believe it? Just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital; brand new and teeny weeny. We started her birthday out with some blueberry oatmeal. Thus a bath was the second act of the day!

After her bath we were ready for her first present of the day. A little something from Auntie Angie. Since mama knows everything, Gracie is all ready to use the present once it's opened.

A pretty pink dress! I love her sneaky face in this picture.

I described a few weeks ago how Gracie likes to climb up and brush her teeth with Levi. Here it is. I need to get another step stool since every evening before bed, they both climb up on that one and struggle to balance side by side.

Nathan came home from work early that day so we all went to the beach for a birthday girl photo shoot. Nathan got a couple of me with me babies too. Love.

We made our way down close to the water. It was pretty chilly so we didn't play long. Just walked around taking pictures of pretty people and pretty scenery.

Daddy's little girl, already. She loves to give him hugs, and allow him to kiss her forehead. Whenever anything upsets her, she finds daddy and tattles to him. It's very cute, and very clear that's what she's doing. And he does, of course, fulfill his role as a doting daddy. "what's wrong Princess? What happened? You want a hug?" And when she has something she shouldn't he yells to me, "Annie, she has the remote. Come take it away from her so I don't have to!"

Little birthday Princess taking a nature walk.

Don't ya just love her to pieces? You don't even need to know her to realize she's a sweetie little Princess. So many times a day I just stop and am mesmerized as I watch her walk around the house playing and talking and chasing her brother. I always think, "she's so tiny! How can she do all that?" She is going to be such a great little character, just like her big brother is.

I like her cute little pinkie in the air. So dainty and lady-like.
This face is all because there were some people walking a dog behind me on the path. It is a rather exciting occurrence, I suppose. I tell ya, I'm raising some intense animal lovers.
Look at that little button nose! So cute. This post doesn't require much journaling. I'm just repeating myself...she's cute!

Yep...more dogs.
I love this beach park on Nathan's base. It has so many great spots for great photos. I've gone there several times for a shoot.

My happy little baby. I get weekly updates from babycenter.com and after Gracie's birthday they started sending me emails titled "Your toddler this week" instead of "your baby this week." Let me just say, the first time I read the new title, I was shocked and I did not appreciate it. She is most definitely still my baby.

Joy is my favorite, and I love these Joy trees they have all over the path. She is a pretty joyful little thing.

Speaking of joy; time for Cake!
Not much better in this world than an icing goatee.
Christmas Birthday girl. I hope her birthday being so close to Christmas just makes her love the whole season all the more.
And of course, birthday presents. By now, she should be a pro.
This picture is funny. Levi has one of her toys, Daddy has the other, and she slouches in between with none. All is well, however. She's rocking out to with her new guitar. She prefers to play it hands free, so she can still dance atop it.
That sums up the little Tinker Bella's first birthday! Can't believe it's come and gone. I know there were allot of pictures in this post, but she's so darling I can't leave any unpublished.
