Last entry on the big visit

After one night in a hotel and a morning of playing with luggage carts, we were ready for a kid friendly adventure. Auntie Vera saw a brochure at the hotel for a Hands On Museum so we packed up and went for it. It was a very cool place with tons of play areas set up with different themes. They had a little grocery store, a garden, buses, doctor's office, ambulance, vet, theatre...just all sorts of places to play grown up.

Watering the garden. Levi was so crazy in this place, I was lucky to get him standing still ever. He was here one second then throwing stuff down and running off to the next spot. I kept trying to tell him to just slow down and take time to actually play with each area, but that was not his idea of a hands on museum experience, apparently.
Papa and Gracie stuck together most of the time playing in the wake of madness left behind by bigger cousins.
Just a few blonde boys picking some apples

Pretty little girl arranging pretty flowers. Making Grammy proud.
Here's the little vet office they had. It as pretty cute, full of big stuffed dogs and a wall of cages and examining table. It was a pretty neat place to go and just pretend all day.
Having a little family jam session
This should be how Levi's bedroom looks. A stage, microphones, costumes....he's set.
Naturally the musical stix had to be turned into swords at some point.

all you can really do here is stand back and say, "wow"
So that was the children's museum we found. Very cool find and a place we might have to return to for a full day of play. That night we had Allison's rehearsal and dinner to attend. I wanted to post a couple of these pictures of Levi practicing for his role because sadly that's all he got to do. The morning of the wedding both Levi and I got super sick and couldn't even stay in the sanctuary during the ceremony. Levi would have done an excellent job.

This was our table's scene at the rehearsal dinner. I think the kids did very well coloring and staying calm.
Grammy with most of her grand daughters. There's at least one missing. Could be missing up to two more though once we figure out what's in Auntie Angie's tummy and who the next Hopper child is.
The little ones didn't color, but they did a good job as well, reading books and being little and cute during dinner.

ohhh, am I supposed to *finish* blogging about the trip? hmmm.
Museum play time was very fun.
I'm glad you have pictures of Levi rehearsing, what a bummer he didn't get to do the real thing! Stupid germs.
Does he realize that he missed it?

I can see why the museum was a highlight.
