Mama's day and a few extras

Gracie's mind revolves around babies. She always has babies on the brain. The first thing she says when she wakes up is, "Baby." And the last thing she says at night as I'm putting her in bed is, "Baby." She is never far from 4 or more dolls at a time and she frustrates herself all day long trying to carry them all at once. She feeds them, and hugs them and now she kisses them.
If Gracie's world is babies, Levi's world is costumes and role playing. Everyday is a chance to shine. I got him this costume for his birthday. I was so glad to finally find it online. He's been asking for this particular costume for a few months, so the day it came I decided to let him open it early. He was SO excited. He's been wearing it almost everyday since.
Grandma Connie sent a bird house several weeks ago, and we got to paint it and hang it in the tree in the front yard. It was a fun project and rewarding to display it outside.
After we put it up, and filled it with food, Levi wanted to hide and watch for a birdy to come eat from it. I had to capture his cuteness.
On Mother's day we had our church in the morning, and then we went to the harbor park for a picnic and playtime. It was a great sunny day for some mama and babies time.
When I took this picture he was doing a whole little narrative about trying to fly, and why couldn't he fly, maybe it would work this time, why didn't he have wings yet....on and on.

I love Gracie's little bashful Bella face.

Gotta have a picture of the mama on her day right? The cool thing about this picture is the reflection in my glasses. On the right side you can see Levi playing, and in the left lens you see Gracie.

Gracie's hair is so brilliantly red and sparkly when we're in the sunlight. It's gorgeous and I always try to capture it. It's always best with the eye.
That was our mother's day. Low key, as is our norm. But sunny and sweet with lots of photographed memories. I love my kids, and I'll buy them as many "my mom rocks" shirts I have to until they're old enough to start buying their own.
