Gracie's birthday

Gracie Bella turned 2....two months ago! I have so many precious and adorable pictures of the Birthday Princess to share with the world. It was a pretty low key birthday celebration. With all the presents that happen at Christmas time, and what with her only being 2 and all, we decided to just get her a couple fun presents and some cake. We'll figure out a way to make everything fair in time for next year. We'll have to set a number of presents for birthdays. Levi can't get more gifts for his birthday just cause it's in May rather than December! But, we have time.
Her main gift was from Grammy and Pop. A toddler Dora folding table and chairs! We opened it before Papa went to work that morning.

She's just to die for. I love her sweet face and sweet reflection.
Love her goofy face too
We decided to go to our indoor play place on base for some birthday lunch.
She's trying to say that she's now 2.

On the way home we had to pick up the birthday cake...well birthday cakes. I guess Nathan was feeling extra generous because he decided that they should each have their own little personal cakes.

Classic cake face shots, of course.

And then some sugar induced dance moves from your rockin' big bro. He's pretty good.

Perfection. Undeniable Perfection.

Levi, of course, knew that it was his sister's birthday. And, oh my, was he excited. He kept asking, the day before, what we were going to do and if we were going to decorate. I told him, "we're really not making a big deal, Levi. She doesn't care very much cause she's so little." But apparently he didn't believe me. Therefore, at 6am on Gracie's birthday, Levi woke up, excited as can be, barging into my room saying, "It's Gracie's birthday! Can we wake her up now?" umm....no. Not happening. He had to just lay in our bed, fidgeting and talking about all the things he expected to find in the living room. In my snoozing state, I mostly ignored and ssshhh'ed him. Once the birthday girl woke up we all came out into the living room and Levi said, "Mama, I really don't like it that you didn't decorate." So....we bought some balloons!
This is one of Gracie's Christmas gifts from Grandma Connie. Cutest little animal print covered 2 year old cheetah on the block.

I don't believe this requires a caption or explanation.

Gracie Bella with her best boys. She's overwhelmingly loved.
A week after Gracie's birthday we had a little play date with some of her (and my) friends.
I just love when her hair is all pulled back. If possible, her face is even tinier when her hair is not covering it!

After we dropped Levi off at school, we came home to make some quiche for her little party. She was pretty proud of helping out.

It was one of those little gatherings where the moms play with each other more than the kids! ;)
These next two pictures are just so sweet and portray Levi and Gracie's relationship pretty well. Gracie loves her "big Leo" as she calls him.

She came over to show me her "lipstick." So pretty. ;)
We had low key celebrations for her birthday, but long lasting. So, she is 2...but she's still a baby. Just ask her. She constantly calls herself "tiny."
I'll end with a gorgeous sunset in our backyard. The colors were amazing. God created my beautiful little girl, and the breath taking sky.

I love Levi's pointy fingered dance moves, and all of Gracie's beautiful face pictures. The reflection in the table pictures are awesome.
"big Leo" is awesome too.
