snowy days

Ever behind, I bring you yet another dated post. These are the best of my snow days capturing. We had some pretty heavy snow in mid January. Enough so that Nathan and Levi both got time off from their "jobs." (the quotation marks are really for Levi. I don't put air quotes around Nathan's work. Don't question the validity, just his sanity)
Anyhoo...
The first big snow day we just stayed at home using our own backyard hill for perfectly good sledding. Because we have Nathan's giant old truck we were able to drive and find much needed sleds.
That's pretty much a face of pure joy.
This is kind of a face of "sure yeah I guess this is fun."
We also used the hill next to our "backyard" park

This is how little princesses get back home after exhausting sledding exhibitions

And we might make a small stop for some snowball lessons from daddy

It snowed some more the next day so we had a replenishing of the white dusting on the town. So beautiful here in Oak Harbor. I am going to miss it so much.

We decided to try a bigger and better hill on our second round of sledding. It was a success.

I love both of these photos. I love their faces and the blurred speedy scenery.

It's hard to see but Levi is pulling Gracie up the hill with a string attached to the sled. Big brothers work hard for their little ladies.
obviously some snowball fights need to happen. Levi is kind of getting doubled up on here. He survived though. Albeit a little whinier for wear.

Further proof that we have the best dog. He would pull the sled back up the hill for the kids every time.

And so ends the story of our last days of snow in Washington. Maybe someday these posts will be current again.

fun in the snow. I like Gracie's snow ball face, and the action shot. I like the next picture too where she looks like she's admiring the snow ball's cuteness while flying. Levi looks like he's loving the sledding. We never got enough snow this year to sled!
A sled fetching dog would rock.
Oh, I also like how the house behind Nathan says "our hero" while he looks like he's about to assassinate a small child with a snow ball :)

Love the Charlie photo! And you'll get to experience snowy (maybe?) Germany/Europe next winter! How exciting.
