Stinkin' military

Bad news. Nathan finally will start working in his normal department, next week. But it turns out that they're gonna send him to a school in Arizona for 6 weeks. Most likely in January. And, naturally, they won't be sending Levi and I along with him. They figure as long as the schooling isn't longer than 6 months, we don't need to be together. So Levi and I will be on our own here in Hawaii for 6 weeks; and Nathan will be all alone in Arizona for 6 weeks. How dumb is that? Oh yeah, and his birthday is in January which means he'll be alone for that.
I guess we were bound to be separated at some point. He is in the military. At least it's not 9 months on a ship. Nathan thought it was gonna be 3 or 4 months, so six weeks is much better than that. When we went to Chicago for Nathan's C school I wasn't supposed to go with him. The Navy certainly didn't pay my way. But, we had Aunt Marilyn there who so generously allowed us to live with her. That was a life saver. Cause that was a 3 month school, which we were supposed to be apart for. But, we don't know anyone in Arizona. And, it's just really too outrageously expensive to pay for a hotel for six weeks or any such thing. Nathan says we'll start saving now and in the middle of the school, Levi and I will fly out there for about a week probably, so it'll break up the six weeks of sadness. It's gonna be quite sad and lonely, and Levi will grow allot while Nathan's gone. But, we have no choice but to take it in stride. I can't just sit in a depressed wasting away lump for six weeks cause I have a baby to raise...otherwise I would. And Nathan will have studying to do. So, we'll just do that whole appreciate each other more thing. It's not like it'll be boot camp, where we can't even call each other. And it's not as long as boot camp was. I'll put on a brave face and do my bible studies everyday for strength and peace. That's the plan.
