popcorn & a movie

Last night we rented Bridge to Terabythia. So, I made a bowel of popcorn, and all three of us sat down to watch the movie. Levi is just so cute when he does "big people" stuff. Like just sit back on the couch to watch a movie and reach his little hand in the popcorn bowel and eat it by the handful. Although, I must say, once the popcorn was "all gone" he got down off the couch and played while glancing at the movie from time to time. But still....
The movie was pretty good. The storyline was nice and interesting. Except the couple times that they basically said God doesn't really send people to hell. A nice thought, of course, but not good doctrine for kids to watch. I guess I'd rather have that small one liner in the movie than a bunch of cuss words or anti-God story or any of those things.
Anyway, I didn't get any pictures of Levi eating the popcorn and watching the movie, cause it was too snuggly of a scene for me to get up for the camera. I decided to just stay in the experience instead of making it a scrapbook page.

But I do have a few pictures of Levi "helping" me with the laundry.

He just pulls all the clothes out of the basket and puts them over his head. But, I must say Papa's blue underwear does bring out his eyes.

Or of course, he also climbs in and out of the basket. Whatever keeps him entertained while I fold clothes.

I got a new pair of shoes a couple days ago, so, naturally, Levi is all about them. That night he was wearing them and walking around the house as much as he could, and then falling over of course.

I don't have any pictures of this yet either, surprisingly, but Levi makes everything a phone now. He's always had a few play phones, and he likes to push the buttons, but it was just a few days ago that he started putting them up to his ear and talking. And, the first time I saw him do it, it wasn't even with a phone. It was with a book light. He had it up to his ear and was just walking around talking. He even took pauses here and there, as if he were carrying on a conversation. It's really cute. And now since then, he makes EVERYTHING into a phone. He still won't talk back to anyone on the real phone yet though. He's too in awe Mama's forbidden cell phone.
Ooo, also the other day I'm pretty sure he walked right up to me and said "mama" But then he wouldn't say it again, or even point to me when I asked who mama is. So, I don't know if it was real. He says papa pretty often these days. And he says a form of Pippin, but only I know, because it really doesn't sound like Pippin at all. I can mostly tell by the tone he uses when he says it. Cause it's like he's yelling for/calling him. I can't wait for him to learn how to say more words though, because he's starting to try to communicate allot, but I just can't always know what he means. And he gets frustrated, as do I. Speech is a vital key to living.

speech is a vital key, but he is right at the age where he is about to bust out with a lot of talking. Alexander is only 9 months older (right) and he talks non stop and can say just about anything, so there's what you have to look forward to in just a short amount of time.

Love the picture with the blue underwear, it sure does bring out his eyes.

and good choice with being in the moment rather than getting up to take a picture, sometimes you just gotta do that.

Yeah, ditto on good choice staying in the moment---I got a reeeeeel nice picture in my head from your description. He is so cute it's not fair to all the other babies in the whole white world (quothe Sophia on "white" world)

He is too cute! And he really looks like a little man now. He looks so different from the first time I saw him. We have a picture of him in our den. I need a new one though.
