Moving Moving Moving

Here are some picture of Levi's first time coloring. He mostly wanted to dump the crayons out of the Tupperware on to the floor. But, he did get the page colored some too. Also, as you can see from the picture below, he wanted to chew on the crayons.

Isn't he cute? Like such a big boy. He really did like it. When we put the crayons away later that night, he was pretty upset about it. Maybe that's something he can do on the plane too.

It's been about a month since I've updated. It's been a very busy month. And it's still busy. We moved into the new house off base last Friday (the 14th). Nathan and another guy from work got the day off and U-Hauled our stuff from one house to the other all day. And we've been arranging and unpacking since then. We're mostly done. Although, I'm not gonna even open the boxes of frames to hang on the walls until I get back from Missouri. All week I've been cleaning the house on base. The military is very strict on how clean the house has to be when you turn your keys back in. And if it's not perfect you get charged lots of money. Since we don't have lots of money, I've been trying to clean every nook and cranny all week long. It's not fun.
Now that things are finally being settled and over with, instead of getting to relax and sink into our new house, it's time to be separated for 7 weeks. Not great timing. Not that there is any good timing to keep a family apart from each other. Dumb Navy. But I am trusting that God has plans for us through the next couple of months. I would never choose to be away from Nathan. And I know Nathan would never choose to be apart from me or Levi. But since we don't have a choice, I hope we can both make the time profitable and not just treat it like a waiting room. Read some magazines and put your life on hold until we come back home. Levi and I will fill our time with family and friends. Levi can bond with his grandparents and cousins, aunts and uncles. People he should be close to but doesn't get to see. Nathan's time will be more studious and serious I think. He'll be working allot on his schooling. Going to class and having homework. He'll be pretty alone, so I really pray that he'll just grow closer and more dependent on God during his quiet evenings alone in a hotel. Plus, he'll have lots of uninterrupted time to devote to Play Station 2. He always has football, golf, and shooting bad guys to comfort him in his loneliness.
So the countdown of our separation begins next Tuesday evening. Levi and I have an overnight flight from here to Oakland and then to KC. I'm hoping Levi will sleep for most of the long flightto CA, and then I got him some new toys that he can't play with until we're on the plane. That should distract him some from the fact that he hasn't been able to get down and run around for hours. We'll see.

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks of moving.
Here's the color that we're painting Levi's room. It's also gonna have really dark blue on the base boards and around the doors.

Levi playing in the U-Haul, of course. He thought it was the greatest toy he's ever had in his front yard.

Nathan and Bryan taking a short break to play Levi's mini guitar...in the U-Haul

Levi dancing to the radio while we were moving everything into the new house.

I wanted to compare the "in a box" pictures. The first one is when we moved from Pensacola last August; He was almost 3 months old. And then the other one is now, of course, when he is 16 months old. Cute.

Nathan and Levi putting Levi's crib together in his new bedroom.

Levi stomping in a puddle on the table in our front yard. He climbed up on the chair and then onto the table. He's a pretty successful climber these days. And surprisingly doesn't ever fall.

He does look just like Nathan.
It's fun when they color, Alexander still chews on the crayons...
We're all waiting to have a visit with him (and you of course)

Have a safe trip home. We look forward to seeing you both soon. Wish we could see Nathan too :(

Love the green color in Levi's bedroom. Very cheery and bright.
