Olympics!

We have been watching the Olympics as a family since day one. We have DVR so we can record it and watch it when we want and fast forward through commercials. It's the only way to do it. Anyway, we're all enjoying Levi's first Olympics.

It puts us in the althetic over achiever spirit, so here Nathan is teaching Levi to do a kart-wheel. I've decided to encourage him to be an olympian.

He even has the landing down.

When we were watching the Gymnastics, we moved the coffee table so Levi would have room to jump and dance like the guys on TV.

Levi learned to say, "Go America!" And so he did, every time he held the flag.

I think Papa is pleased with his little patriotic son. Kick bootie, America!

Here's a video of Levi doing his Kart-Wheel

I wanted to write some stuff down that Levi is doing that's so cute and I want to remember it later. Every night of his life I sing to him with our bedtime routine. Lately, however, he's been making special requests and singing with me. It turned from a lullaby to a fun activity. I want to have Nathan video tape it some night. The most recent request has been to sing about his cars. The first time he asked me to "sing car" I broke into "Life is a highway" because they play it in the movie Cars, which he loves. So I knew he would recognize it. He did, and it was big hit. I asks me to sing it every night now, and he sings with me. He says "highway" and "All night long." I really hope I can get it recorded, because he is so into it. He sticks his tongue out to say "long" and he shakes his head from side to side as he sings. It's fun to have him like the things I like.
Also I want to remember later in his life that he calls his forehead a two-head. He's been doing that for several weeks now. When he started learning his facial features, we taught him forehead. But his favorite number to say and recognize it 2. Right now when he counts he says, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, etc. And when he sees any number he first says it's a 2. So, I guess he heard 4-head and repeated it as 2-head. And now consistently calls it such.

Maybe you should enroll Levi in gymnastics so he can represent someday. :) I regret to say that we have not watched even a minute of the Olympics this year, but that is because we haven't bought a television yet.

I like Levi's farmer tan. Izu has a little big of one going too now. I hope we can get together soon. I feel like Izu and Levi would have a little more interaction this time.

Ask Nathan if he remembers Foreheader, Eye winker, Noise smeller, Mouth eater, Chin chopper. We use to play it lots. Something to teach Levi if I ever get to see him (and you guys) again. Yea, I know where you live. But O Well maybe some day.

I'm still sad I never got to hear him sing!

I think Nathan needs to abandon his dream of Levi playing golf and go for gymnastics instead. He clearly has the talent
