sick days

Levi and I both came down with colds early on this week. Monday Levi barely had a voice. He sounded like a little frog boy. It was sad and cute. So, Monday morning we started out to have a sick on the couch watching movies day. But, even though Levi was quite sick, he didn't feel grouchy, so he still wanted to play. Thus, the day turned into, 'let's drag all my toys out into the living room' day. It was a crazy cluttered house, with no floor. But, it was fun.

We built some castles with blocks for a while.


He built this one all on his own. Pretty good design, I think.

But then he had to knock it all over. Then follow the crash up with an "uh oh!"

He opted to eat lunch in this drawer that all his blocks came out of. Drag it out of your room, pour all contents onto the floor, drag empty drawer onto the couch, sit down inside it, eat lunch. Levi's mental thought process, I do believe.
Levi has learned what the word, "Silly" means. So, lately, we go back and forth calling each other, "silly Levi. Silly mama. Silly Levi. Silly Mama." He was definitely called "Silly Levi" after this picture was taken.

By the second day of being sick, he needed to be outdoors a little. We took a short walk up around our neighborhood with Pippin on his leash and Levi getting to help hold onto him. And then he rode around in his Hummer for a bit. Nathan just picked this up at a secondhand store for 10 bucks. It has no battery, so we have to push him. But, we're on the lookout for a battery. He still likes it, as is. Pippin speedily jumped out of the hummer after this short ride.
