Halloween

We had a pretty good Halloween experience this year. First we went over to Chloe and Baby Carleigh's house for a quick trick or treat stop. She lives on base, so we went ahead and walked up and down her street to a few houses. Carleigh was a kitty cat...very cute. Levi thought so too. He even put his candy down to hold her. That's pretty big. Oh, and Levi's a ninja, in case you couldn't tell.
After the quick trick or treat stop we headed over to one of the bigger Calvary chapels on the Island that was having a night of games and candy. We met Jenene, Bryan and the girls there. Hippie and Pink Princess...BFF.
This is the church that Ka'ua goes to, so she and her daughter attended as well. Ka'ua won an award for best costume. It was pretty impressive...she made it too.
There were a ton of booths with different games or activities for the kids to participate in to get candy. This was Levi's favorite. He would have stayed here all night, I think. I had to coerce him to the next one.

This was called Bible Plink-o. And he actually landed in the middle where the heart was and got triple the candy for a reward. It was so cute when he went behind there to climb the steps. He disappeared, then only the top part of his head re-appeared. Plus, he got to meat the Wheaties box.

He also liked this booth quite a bit. After he kicked his allotted number of soccer balls, he surpassed the "coach" and went to pick out his own ball to kick more.
Nathan dressed up as a "local." He was wearing board shorts and this UH t-shirt. Very thought out.

After the games we went across the parking lot to Big City Diner for dinner. I have to tell this story about Baily. Jenene and Bryan didn't think it was so funny, but I nearly died from trying to keep the laughter in.
Bryan and Jenene have four kids, and we all know how hard it is to keep them in their chairs at restaurants....especially all of them at once. So, some of them kept escaping here and there. At one point Baily was standing up right next to the table, and she decided to kick her foot up in the air. Unfortunately she was wearing flip flops....so her shoe flew across to the next table and actually landed in a lady's plate of food, then plopped onto the floor! Oh my goodness, I watched the whole thing happen and it was terrible and hilarious. Bryan and Jenene were so embarrassed and they ended up paying for the other table's meal. And, Baily also ended up sobbing and going over to tell them how sorry she was. It really wasn't funny....but it really was.

After all that, we still tried to get all the kids together in their costumes outside the restaurant for a group photo. The next three pictures are how it went. All these poses are their own doing.

After Jenene and I tried to direct them and talk over them...and them ignoring us, Bryan walks up and says about two words and this is their response. What is that all about?
Either way....we got a group picture. Happy dress up day!

Oh my gosh, that story about Bailey's flip-flop! That story will live on in infamy for that family! I can't believe the people took B&J's money! Levi looks so cute! And so do you and Jenene!

Levi looks awesome as a ninja. I think he has found a new calling...he can utilize his tumbling/gymnastics skills.
