Mama's Day

Hope all mother's had a great weekend. Mine was nice and pampered style. It started Saturday evening with Nathan doing the dishes for me.
After church we went to the grocery store where Levi and Nathan went inside, while I stayed in the car and called to wish my mom a happy day. They came back out to the van with lunch and presents. Nathan says Levi picked everything out, and he could not be persuaded to choose smaller (less expensive) things. My boy knows. He got me all the gifts in this picture. Flowers, huge balloon, which happens to sing when you tap it, and a mega-card which also sings.
Dancing is required
Levi and I sat on the kitchen floor while Papa got lunch prepared. We decided to do our own version of a photo booth usually found in malls. Thus, what follows are several pictures of Levi and myself. But it was mother's day.

I don't think this is the "loser" gesture. I think he chose to do a bossy pose.
This is Levi's favorite face to make. So, when he helped decide what faces to make, this was his first suggestion.
I think these were tricky sly eyes
of course, the growl.

Here are my two new necklaces from my two children. The bottom one, which looks like a pearl snowflake, is the one that Levi picked out for me. And the other necklaces is from "the hulk." That's what Nathan calls our coming soon baby. I call her Hulkette. Anyway, that necklace is three hearts connected together, representing mama, baby & Levi. Very sweet.

Levi got to open his birthday box from Nanny & Grandpa Shalz on Sunday afternoon. Thus, here he is modeling his Knight Dress up presents. I think he looks very brave and Dark Knight-ish.
He looks like a pretty good protector...who's mom loves him this much. That's probably why he's strong and confident enough to be so intimidating.

It was a pleasant day of being taken care of and doted on. I always appreciate that.

Let's hear it for being taken care of and doted on!!! Somehow, Vera and I didn't get much of that on Mother's Day. Too big of a herd to feed, although we had whole lot a lovin from the herd. Love the photo booth shots!
