Yesterday we found Levi's Hospital Hat. There were a couple hats that the hospital gave us when he was born, and it still fits on his head. So I thought I would compare then and now.

We got Levi a little backpack a few weeks ago. It's very cute when he wears it. He's a little off balance, so he can't wear it for too long. But, he likes it. It's more ideal than a diaper bag because....Levi is going to the nursery now! I know, it's huge. But, it's just time. We haven't been able to actually listen to a sermon at church since Levi was born. And we're settled into this church now, so it's just time to take that next little step. Or big step. He does OK. This last Sunday they said he cried off and on, but only for a few seconds. The problem is that church is right during his nap time. But, he'll get more and more used to it, I suppose. They didn't have to come get me, so I guess he wasn't that bad.
And if that's not enough....Nathan and I just started attending a marriage study with a few other couples from our church so now Levi is being left with a babysitter once a week! All the kids from the study are left with Jenene's mom, and most of the kids are Jenene's. So, at least Levi already is used to all of them, and "Auntie Dotty" (Jenene's mom). Last Thursday was the first time, and it was kinda ruff for him. Again, it'll just be something he'll need time to get used to. And even though it's a little sad for us, it's also necessary. Nathan and I have not gone anywhere without Levi since he was born. We haven't been to a movie in over a year, or out to eat alone or....anywhere! So, it'll be good to take one night a week to focus on our relationship. And I think this will open the door for a date night here and there.
I still love spending everyday with him though! He's really into hiding his face now. The whole "where's Levi? There he is!" game. After enough months of me doing it with his towels or clothes or whatever is around, he's begun to initiate it himself. As the pictures show.

I have a pictures of all of Levi's grandparents, uncles/aunts and cousins, and we go through them pointing to each face saying who they are pretty often. He especially likes doing it with his cousins, cause they're kids. Anyway, this picture of my parents with all the cousins got loose a while ago, and we just found it again. So, here he is pointing to them all. I figured Grammy and Grandpop would like to see.

That's really cool. I think couples with new kiddos forget to focus on their relationship. It will help you guys have a break together once in a while. You both deserve it. I can't believe how fast babies grow. Did you ever get pictures of us for the book? I hope you did. I want Levi to know who we are when we visit :) P.S. We hope you're safe from the hurricane, or earthquake, or both.
Love him with the back pack on! He looks like such a kid.
Your couples study sounds good.
Alexander does that same thing with that picture, he could do it all day.
He is so handsome I could just scream. He looks 12 in that backpack pictue. I'm with Molly, I want him to know who we are! Marilyn had to do pictures with Andy when Ron was in Viet Nam!
Really nice pictures and great story line... hee hee Sharon
