Levi actually talked to Grammy on the phone yesterday, for quite a while. Always before he has just stared in awe at the splendid cell phone, and not made any replies to Grammy saying "Hi" to him. But, yesterday, he took off. He held it up to his ear and mouth just right, and "talked" to her in all the right moments. He paced around the back yard telling Grammy all about being and Island boy. It was really cute. I'm so glad he keeps doing new things all the time. It's exciting.

He was also VERY upset when I took the phone back to finish my conversation with Grammy. I ended up having to get off the phone, because he wouldn't stop crying longingly at the phone.
Levi picked out some sunglasses yesterday at Wal-Mart. (I know there's lots of debate in the Buckner and extended family concerning wal-mart. So I just want to set the record straight on our end. We love wal-Mart; Come what may!) Levi always wants to play with my sunglasses, so I gave him an old pair of mine. However, they only proved to make him mad, because they were too big and kept sliding down his little face. But, now he has his own little boy sunglasses. When I put them on him, he smiles and just looks all around. He's intrigued by the sudden shade. And I think he'll really learn to appreciate them as I have. He sneezes at least 2 times anytime we get out of the car or leave the house...just like I do. And you know what? Maybe everyone knows this, but I didn't. The eye doctor knew that I would need her to dim her flashlight before shining it in my eyes, because my eyes are light and thus more sensitive to brightness. So ha to anyone who finds me ridiculous for wearing dark black sunglasses on a cloudy day. I have a note from my doctor! (I'm mostly talking to Nathan here)
Oh, also, apparently he knows that they are called "glasses." When he got them, right off he kept calling them glasses. I thought I was just listening with hopeful ears. But, he consistently called them that all day. I was thoroughly impressed, because I've not taught him that word specifically. I guess he just picked up on my calling them that.
I finally got a picture of Levi eating out of the popcorn bowl like a big person. Isn't it cute? He gets down on some popcorn too. He knows when I get that bowl out that it's snack time. The only thing I have to watch out for is his digging for the kernels. After he's had a few handfuls of the puffed popcorn, he sticks his little hands to the bottom to try and find the unpopped kernels. Too observant.
I know this picture is kinda blurry, but it's too cute. Sitting on the big couch, with his little legs dangling, eating his sandwich and popcorn watching TV. Like a big person! I think he'll fit in well with his parents. We like us some food, couch and movies.
And as a side note, without picture for proof....Levi now, from time to time walks like a Sumo Wrestler. I don't know why, or how he learned it. But, he stomps each foot, spread out all wide, with his knees bent. Just like Sumo Wrestlers do when approaching one another.

all so very cute. I'm sure Grammy was thrilled to have him talk to her.
The glasses are cool, he looks like he's ready to go skateboarding or something.
Alexander has started calling all pictures of himself as a baby "Vevi"
Glasses how fun. All little boys need them.
