A post for Grammy and Aunt Marilyn

This post is really brought to you by the letters G & M because it's all about gifts given by Grammy (aka my mom) and Aunt Marilyn. Grammy sent Nathan the first season of "Meerkat Manor" for his birthday, hopeing that we would all like it. And we do. We're animal planet kind of people. When we put it on, Levi sat with us on the couch just as engrossed in their little world as we were. He was sitting with Papa sharing a fruit roll up.

This is him reaching for the Meerkats on the TV asking if he can please hold them. He does that when there are either animals or babies on the screen. It's so cute. I think it speaks great volumes for his personality and character.
And the couch just wasn't close enough. They are very cute little creatures. Of course he assumes they are dogs.
Oh, speaking of dogs, but not at all related....The other morning we were watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse and they were talking about a Lion or something. And, Mickey said, "Do you know what the lion says?" Cartoons these days always are interactive. They ask questions throughout the whole show and pause for a second to let the child reply. Levi has never responded before, but now that he's starting to speak and understand so much of what people are saying, he actually did respond. Of course he barked, but still! He answered Mickey Mouse's question! It was one of my proudest moments to date.
Here's the picture for Aunt Marilyn. She bought this book for me when I turned 4 years old. I remember reading it many times as a child. It was a series, and I had a few of them. They were some of my favorite books. Something about the drawings. So, now Levi reads them. I thought she might appreciate this picture.

I remember that book, cute that he is sitting in the stroller.
I like the picture of him trying to hold the animals.

I'm so excited that even Levi likes it. That's my boy, reaching for those cute doggies! How sweet is that? I love Levi's dog lovin' heart. MY grandson!

Ah, the wonderful fruit roll-ups. Who doesn't love them?

Levi looks deep in concentration while reading his book. He definitely understands what's going on. He'll be reading soon....!

Ahhhh, I love Meerkat Manor! It's like a soap opera only with Meerkats! AP is probably my favorite channel.

So glad Levi is starting to respond but it's also cute he thinks everything is a dog. Maybe he'll grow up to be a vet : )

Your blog is going to be my little escape. After looking outside and seeing snow, it's nice to look at your pictures of Levi in shorts!
