This is obviously the front of the house. The house is actually a duplex, but it's not split side by side, it's front and back. So, that whole front part you see is all us. Most of the house is ours, because the back half is a bit smaller than our part. The front yard being paved is nice because Levi can push his toys or ride his cars easily outside. And we have a basketball hoop, so that's nice. Lately, when Nathan gets home from work Levi and I go outside to meet him. Nathan gets Levi on the motorcycle with him and drives him around the driveway. And then we all play basketball for a little while. It's pretty cute.
As soon as you walk in the main entrance, (which is the door on the right when you look at the above picture) this is what you see. It's almost like a little foyer. Right now it looks a little empty. But, my plans for it are to have a desk on the left wall with a fish tank on it. And then the wall on the right we're gonna have our air hockey table as soon as we can arrange to pick it up from Nathan's friend who stored it for us when we were in the small house.
When you walk in the door and look to your right, there's the rest of the living room. The room that gets used to most in our house. And, you've already seen scenes in here from our parties and stuff. I really like this room. There are 9 windows in the living room total, so it's full of light and breeze. Which is what made me want to decorate with flowers because it's so nice and feels like you're outside anyway. It's a very pleasant and peaceful room. The next several pictures are just different angles of the living room.
That little archway is pretty neat. It's just a nice little addition that doesn't serve any real purpose except to maybe separate the room a little.
So, as you continue into the house the first door on your left is the extra room that we have the computer and music and some extra stuff in. It's not really defined yet too much. Nathan asked if he could decorate the room in sports paraphernalia, and I said he could. So, that's what it's gonna be eventually. Posters and the likes of sports.
Then the room on your right is Levi's bedroom. Stuffed full with toys. It's pretty average sized, I suppose. Again with the windows. We don't have any air conditioner or window units. But, this house so doesn't need it. There are billions of windows that let so much air in. And, we're in the Wahiawa Heights, as they call it here, which means, it's a couple degrees cooler and breezier. So, it's really quite nice. It's peaceful to live daily with the windows open and sun streaming into the house.

After you've come into the house and walked the length of the front foyer area, there is this hallway to your left. I am not very pleased with the walls down the hallway, so that'll keep getting worked on. Oh, and that closed door in this picture is a connecting door to the back part of the house. It's locked of course, and unused, but it's kept there in case of a fire. They only have one door to their part of the house, so, that door had to be kept there for emergency purposes.
Once you get to the end of the hallway, immediately to the left is the bathroom and our bedroom. But, it's really not worth putting a picture of. Just your typical bathroom and bedroom. If you turn to the right at the end of the hallway, there is our kitchen. It's pretty decent size. This picture is taken while sitting on the counter tops. And then the next picture is taken over by the kitchen table. Again, the kitchen has 8 windows in it. So, there are just breezes coming into the house from all over the place.

By the kitchen table is the back door leading to the side of the house and back yard. The yards are shared with the other people, but they don't have kids, so they don't really use the backyard. Our washer and dryer are also on the back pavement under that covering. Levi and Pippin enjoy the size of the yard. Pippin runs in circles and dashes around, making Levi laugh endlessly.
Both sides of the house have pavement and grass. So, sometimes Levi and Pippin and I do laps around the house. It's a nice house, and we're enjoying it. I'm almost sad we'll only be in it for a year and a half.
So, there is our house. It's bright and airy and fun. And you'uns should come for a visit.

It's so good to hear you finally enjoying the essence of Hawaii, the breezes and the sun and the "every day is a nice day" aspect. And won't that just permeate Levi's memories of childhood? I mean, getting to go outside and play EVERY day? That's cool how you 2 meet Nathan outside to play when he gets home. Love your house! It's huge! The windows and the breezes sound so dreamy. You could square dance in every room. Loved Levi and the helmet in Nathan's bd blog! Construction Monthly, snick.

lookin good, man.
Wow, thanks for the tour! I almost felt like I was there! It is a wonderful house and I'm glad you three are happy with it and thriving. Does it have an extra bedroom for when people visit? Maybe that could save us some money when we visit with our baby before you guys leave the island (yes, we promise we'll try to make it). Congrats on a lovely little home : )
