Who's the Boss

Yesterday Levi, Pippin & I were playing outside. Pippin has become less obedient the older he seems to get. So, I had to run out into the street to literally pick him up and carry him away from a person walking their dog. That's hard to do when you don't want you toddler to follow you into the street, let me tell you. Anyway, after I carried him back to where we were sitting Levi said he wanted to hold Pippin. So, I had him sit in this folding chair and set Pippin on his lap. His face is scowling because he is reprimanding Pippin. He said, "No run away Pippin!"

I guess after the scolding he needed to give him a hug. We do that for Levi; suppose he's picked up on it.
And after that he was free to enjoy holding his doggy in his lap.
I also want to tell this story. This morning Nathan didn't go to work until about 11, so I left him and Levi out in the living room to go take a shower. Apparently once I was in the shower Levi wandered into the kitchen on his own and rummaged in the pantry. He brought Nathan a bag of mini marshmallows and the conversation went as follows:
Levi- "Have candy?"
Nathan- "yes you can."
Levi- "papa say yes?!"
Nathan- "Yes, bring it here"
they sat eating the marshmallows together for a few seconds when Levi got a serious look on his face, turned to Nathan and said,
"When mama come out mama say 'no candy' "

already he knows who to go to with witch requests. Kids are smart. I'm looking for a picture to send you cause that first picture with the scowl, looks just like ALexander, he makes that exact face. I'll find a picture...
