Thanksgiving in Gig Harbor

We've had our first holiday in years with actual family members! A Thanksgiving weekend at Auntie Martha's house, as Levi would say. He, of course, knew exactly where we were and what we were there for. As soon as we pulled into the driveway he was ready to lead the way. He walked in the door, asked Aunt Martha to "come" follow him around the house as he gave her the tour. Some things were rearranged, and he noticed!
After the excitement of arriving, Levi settled in for some movie time with Nathan's Ipod. He was pretty quiet for a couple hours while the dinner was being prepared. Unfortunately, on the drive from our house he was suddenly sick. Cough and congestion type of stuff. It came on in full force, but he didn't really let it hold him back.

A picture of my Nathy. Just because he's so pretty.
General hubbub in the kitchen. I baked my contributions in my kitchen on Wednesday so I wasn't in that mix too much. It's probably best since I can't walk past anything without bumping into it with my belly.
Carving the turkey on the Washing Machine. Which was actually turned into a cooler that day.

Levi was convinced that the real party was upstairs, even though no one was up there. Must be because that's where we slept while we stayed there last time. So he kept coming to the stairs and yelling out for...anyone from this perch. I took pictures and then shushed him.
His friend Allison. Nathan and I had lots of time to just sit because Levi sought out Allison's lap all weekend. She's young and blonde and laughs when he preforms...what more could he want? Friday morning when we were getting ready to go shopping, I was tying Levi's boots and he said, "Allison is going to like my new shoes."
I love his face in this one. I think this is the only time I hiked my large self up the stairs. I could hear that there were picture opportunities.

He doesn't understand what cousin means yet, but he well understands doting girls.
Nathan shooting me with a shotgun application on his ipod....just like the pilgrims. Happy Thanksgiving!
Games after the big meal.

Papa is trying to interest Levi in some quiet turkey coloring time. He was not really into it. We should have had Allison color first. That would have worked.
The necessary holiday bump picture. I don't think I contributed too much to the holiday spirit or workings. I was pretty much just a fixture on the couch with swollen ankles. Forget about Christmas. We'll be lucky if I can even roll down the hall to the tree for that one. 8 1/2 months here or 34 weeks depending on how you like to hear it.
As everyone was winding down and doing quiet activities, Nathan set up a movie for Levi on his laptop in our room because he was not cooperating with the toned down mood of the house. But, instead of Levi watching the show, this is what happened. Nothing like Monsters Inc to draw in all the grown up boys.
Friday Auntie Martha and Jeremy both had to return to work, but Allison had the day off. So, the four of us piled in our mini van and set out for some Tacoma Black Friday shopping. We aren't hardcore, so we didn't get anywhere until after ten. But, we still managed to spend money. Nathan went out before we were all ready to get Levi some medicine at Target. He also came home with a camera for himself.
Throughout the day we bought more clothes for Gracie, an IHome, a couple sneak presents for Levi, a shopvac, and a surround sound system. We're that kind of adults. Who needs presents on Christmas. Let's just buy them all now.
Had to snap a photo of Levi's first bite of Slim Jim. It's something that should be documented right? It's quite a face.
It can also be used as a bat to hit a wadded piece of paper *ball.
Here's the hi light of the trip in Nathan's eyes. There is a Del Taco about 15 minutes from Aunt Martha's house, thus we ate there twice. Once in our day of shopping and once more on the way home Saturday. There's also a Super Center Walmart next door, so it's kind of like heaven. (Nathan took the fries/ketchup picture himself with his new camera)
So, we had a good Thanksgiving weekend. Levi was pretty sick, and turned into a frog by Friday afternoon but he was a real trooper. If his nose hadn't been disgusting and his voice gone, you wouldn't have even known. Unfortunately he passed the illness on to me. I am happy though that it didn't hit me until Sunday morning. Then I was passed out on the couch most of the day. But at least it didn't interfere with the holiday!

yeah for a fun thanksgiving. I'm sure your sitting around was widely accepted, thought I don't recommended rolling at Christmas. No matter which way you rolled (log wise, or end over end) it is bound be be a bad deal.

Yea, Nathan and tacos. Remember Taco Tuesday in St. Joseph? Looks like Levi, Nathan and you had a fun Thankgiving. Gracie was just taking it easy. All you guys take it easy until "birthday." Congrates on Benny. Sounds like fun!!!
