Levi is 10 months old now. I can't believe only two months until he's 1 year old. I guess then I'll stop counting the months. I'm gonna get some special frames to hold every month's picture up to 1 year. There are some good ones. This time I got one of him standing up trying to walk. He's so close. He takes a small step with one foot, but then fails with the other foot. I don't think it counts as his first step yet. I guess I lost the bet. Nathan and I guessed when he would start walking. I said in his 9Th month and Nathan said in his 10Th. I'd say Nathan will win. I think he'll be wobbling around any day now.
He's teething again. He seems to be taking it much worse this time. And as far as I can tell it's only one tooth. Another one on the bottom. But, it really is bothering him. Maybe it's cause he's older and cares more? Last night he went to bed at the normal time and then woke up around 11:00 crying and screaming. All he wanted was to be held. Every time I picked him up he'd fall asleep, but as soon as I put him down he'd start screaming. Nathan was a good little papa though, and let me go to sleep while he stayed up with Levi. Nathan's been having trouble falling asleep lately, so it worked out for the two of them. Except that today they both had to take early morning naps. Anyway, I hope this tooth comes out soon and leaves him be for a while.
Leevee is very into his pacifier these days. I assume because his teething his so ruff on him. Although it certainly didn't do the trick last night. He still doesn't suck on it, just chews vigorously. And with a vengeance as you can see in this picture.
Along with the pacifier his favorite toy is currently his pull along Caterpillar. It lights up and plays songs. He pulls it around all day long. It's funny how he focuses on one toy for a while and then moves on to another. Although the first thing he does everyday, or every time I clean up is to make sure everything is on the floor. There are always books on his little table, and he has to make sure they are all swept onto the floor. Likewise with our coffee table. He's a table sweeper.
I taught him monkey the other day. I got down one of his stuffed monkeys and showed it to him while saying monkey over and over again. Then later that day I asked him where the monkey was, and he got it for me. He learns quickly. I've tested him on it since then and he remembers. I'm trying a couple animals at a time. Once he seems to have those figured out I move on. We're doing cow and monkey right now. The cow is one of his favorite bath time toys. I'm showing him the signs too, but so far he doesn't really do any of those. He is starting to do "eat". I suppose that would be the one to take the initiative on. I can't wait for him to be able to communicate better, either by words or signs. It will be nice to take a lot of the guesswork out. Like knowing if he's whining because he wants more food or because he's finished. But, I'd say he's growing and learning rather well for such a little boy.

It won't be long now until Levi is walking and then you'll wonder why you wanted him to do that?? He is as cute as his daddy was at that age.
very cute! Bring the pictures with you and we can make a canvas!
Oh my gosh, he looks soooo much like Anna -- sorry Daddy. (She's got Adrianna too if you ask me!) He is very, I say very cute! PS I always counted the first step as walking!!!
