walking boy

<-Playing with his friends
Levi took his first steps two days ago. He took 3-4 steps when I let go of his hands. I kinda tricked him into it. But then yesterday he was doing it on his own. He got up to about 6-8 steps yesterday a few times. He uses something to help him stand up and then he walks out in the open. He resorts to crawling though cause it's faster. But he's on his way now. He has been trying to stand up without any assistance but so far unsuccessfully.
He's also starting to talk more. Instead of just yelling he's actually forming more word like sounds. I think this will be a long process though.
<-Holding the monkey after he got it for me
He's also out of the compliant baby phase and into the hippy protest with my body stage. You know...going limp and yelling when I direct him away from something forbidden. That kind of thing. Opening up the world of indivualism/make me obey.
I think he's really gonna be upset when Nathan is gone for 6 weeks. He's still young enough that I can't explain the situation to him, but old enough that he'll be very aware that's it's wrong. I am glad that he's not old enough to be upset that Nathan will be gone on his birithday...and my birthday..and Mother's day...and Father's Day.

Yay! He walked. So what's next . . . running? Just kidding, of course. But congrats on a growing, healthy boy!

So, you know now when Nathan will have to leave? Are you coming home during that time? We would love to see you even if Nathan cannot come along :( Let us know.

Does he play with stuffed animals like that? That is a cute picture!

Walking is fun, opens up a whole new world.

Well talk about a new world, here goes. I hope you put your tennis shoes on each day, because keeping up with a new walker can be fun!!!
If like his daddy he'll be running soon.
All will be fine when Nathan goes to AR. God is sufficient for all our needs. And you get to come home for a while. Yea!!
