Levi and I had a little outside play time the other day. We took a blanket out into our front yard and had a sit and play. He kept trying to eat the grass and leaves and what not. But, he likes being outside. He finds it interesting when cars drive by or to look at trees. We go outside allot when we go for jogs, but he's always confined in his stroller. I think for his birthday we'll get him a little slide castle type of yard set. He and Benny can run around the bark yard together

Our search for a church is not going well. The one we tried last week, we actually ended up walking out of before it even started. We got there about 15 minutes before the service would start. We found seats and sat down to wait. Then a greeter came up to us and started to tell us about the nursery and such. Which they always do, but I just politely say, that's OK, he'll stay with us. But she informed us that he's not allowed in the sanctuary. Children under 12 are not allowed in the sanctuary! Isn't that insanity? I mean, I understand if some one's child is being loud and a distraction, they need to go outside or to the cry room. But, just not allowed in the first place? And not until they're 12! I personally think that is not a decision the church should make for you. As a parent, I should be able to decide when my child is old enough to attend regular service. If Levi is well behaved and would rather hear the pastor speak and learns from it at an age younger than twelve, then I have the right to make that decision. It is not the church's place. children's church is a very good thing, and once Levi is old enough, he can go into classes during the service, but he's not old enough yet, and we wouldn't feel comfortable putting him in the nursery the first time we visit a church no matter how old. So, we left. We're not gonna feel comfortable in a church that doesn't embrace families worshiping together. Even when Levi does attend a nursery, I'll probably still want him to worship with us. He loves music, and I think it's good for him to see his parents worship. Again, I think that's a decision that we, as his parents, should make. I just think it's a very cold policy to have as a church.
Needless to say, we still don't have a church. It's really not encouraging. Staying home and listening to bible studies on CD is starting to sound pretty appealing.

Soldier on in your quest for a chuch! God has one for you, His word is clear on not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves, so...but you should consider writing a letter to the cold church. I mean honestly, what if you weren't a Soldier, and this put you off church? Some dork made a bad decision and was persuasive enough to get it thruough to the greeter gestapo. What are they all thinking??? DORKS!
