mostly random

It's been a while since I've posted, so I figured I'd just throw in some random daily activities. Here is Levi being a bucket head. He started doing this about a month ago probably. Maybe longer. It's pretty funny, because he puts it on his head, and then he holds his hands in front of him and tries to keep walking. And when he falls, it's OK, because it's a game. He even used the bucket when he was upset with Nathan the other day. I went to the store and left Nathan and Levi here at the house with each other. Levi is in his mama only stage, so he didn't appreciate it very much. Nathan said that he was just walking around whining and being upset. He kept coming up to Nathan, who was sitting at the computer, and getting his attention to whine at him. After a while, he came up to Nathan with the bucket in his hands. He got Nathan's attention, put the bucket on his own head, and then put his arms down stiff by his side and let out a frustrated sigh under the bucket. So, the bucket clearly has many uses in a child's life.

These pictures are just from a day outside. Levi walked around in his new pool a little. He doesn't really know what to do with it. He just stands there, walks a little, but he won't sit down or anything. He kept calling the kitty to come in. Naturally, the cat declined, but he did stand right outside the pool mewing.


The cat likes to lie underneath this wood game piece. Levi, curiously sought him out and investigated the matter further.

He thought perhaps poking it with a stick would help. Actually, he wasn't poking the kitty, he was trying to play with the cat like he does by dangling sticks or anything else in front of the cat's face.

And here he is wearing one of Papa's old (now a toy) helmets. He's fascinated by helmets ever since Papa got a motorcycle. He's a little freaked out when Nathan has all his bike gear on, but he's also drawn to it. And then the other picture; I bought some drawers for more organization with all of Levee's billions of toys. Naturally, he felt the need to sit in the bottom drawer.



And now here are a few pictures from my birthday. We didn't do anything too extravagant. But it was a nice day. Nathan got me some little presents on the days leading up to my birthday. But my favorites were the new Maroon5 CD (very good) and a gift card to Boarders. Nathan got up with Levi so I could sleep, and they made biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Later in the day we went to Boarders so I could spend the card. 4 new books, thank you very much. Ah...I love buying books. On Sunday Levi and I went to church alone, because apparently Nathy had been sick all day on my birthday, but didn't let on because he wanted it to be all about me. Isn't he swell?!

That is a birthday sign that my Aunt Lora sent us. Very fancy. And then the picture next to it is a birthday card that my other Aunt Marilyn sent me. It plays "dancin' in the street" so I was of course dancing.

And now the birthday cake pictures. Nathan got me a strawberry shortcake ice cream cake. It's scrummy. And he put 23 squiggly little candles in it. Happy birthday me.
