I know it's been a while but here is my post about our Thanksgiving. Nothing like starting off your thankful perspective with a little chokin for the dog. Gracie chose a more graceful alternative; sitting on her daddy's lap as he watches football.

Every year we have celery with peanut butter and cream cheese. So far this is not popular with Levi, but this year he made it work for him. Celery drum sticks!

It snowed again on Thanksgiving morning, which was pretty fantastic. Mid morning the boys had to go out and play again because apparently this was perfect snowman/snow ball material.

Levi's first snowman! It's a big one.

He's my cutie little snow boy.

Levi's response to having a man of snow in his front yard was to sit and chat with it. That's kind of his thing.

A few days after Thanksgiving Gracie Girl turned 11 months. I didn't foresee that her little monthly photo shoot would take place on Thanksgiving in the kitchen, climbing on the dog food bin while I'm making our meal. But here they are, darling as always.

My little red-headed Thanksgiving goose

She is fully walking now. She still stumbles and falls but she gets back up and walks on. She loves to dance more than any baby I've seen. The second a song comes on she is swaying and bouncing. Daddy is her best word and she uses it allot. She's really enjoying him being home. She's starting to try to say Levi. Sometimes it's a little like I-I. Cute. She's good at repeating words and noises.

Here is our feast. Levi is saying, "That's a lot of food. Is it all for me?" Gracie is just looking at the cookies. How does she know?

Eating the feast while watching football....naturally.

That's some pretty intense chewing there. He's all about the drama of any given situation. Although I did tell both of the children that they need to visit a third world country and get some perspective on food. Eat already!

Just some fun post meal yoga. Levi used to do this all the time at this age and all my Hawaiian friends told me that it meant another baby was coming. Well, they were wrong then, and they're still wrong. It's just baby yoga.

Yes yes, time for children in front of a Christmas tree pictures

Charlie pops his head in while Gracie tries to pop right out and all the while Levi holds his position and smile, albeit on a worried face. He's been trained well.

The little Princess one month away from her big birthday

We ended our Thanksgiving day with some crafts, some play and Elf, projection style. In this picture Levi has turned our coffee table upside down and decided it's a boat, which he is frantically trying to steer away from the tree. Gracie obviously believes in his abilities.

And finally our Thanksgiving day craft, done while both Gracie and Papa took their late afternoon nap. Iron Man was very supportive and encouraging through the whole process. I made my own thankful little hand turkey but I didn't think it would be quite as acceptable to post my proud face behind my creation. "I would give anything not to be appreciated in my own time." That's a friends quote for Auntie Vera. And that's our Thanksgiving.

Have you and Nathan told your kids about all the snow in Missouri yet? About all the snow you had to trek through to get anywhere...My mom does that with me and her childhood stories about Wisconsin. I think it's a requirement for successful parenting stories.
I love her red hair! So freaking adorable and beautiful.
I should post pics of my kids in front of our Christmas tree. Oh, wait, I don't have kids :-/
Levi steering the boat is great. And it's nice that he has Iron man to support him in the times that his sister is busy.
A lovely thanksgiving.
