holla for halloween

We had a pretty low key halloween. We never really do much since we're not gaga about the holiday itself. But since one of Levi's callings in life is to wear costumes, I think it's best that we take advantage of a full day of parading that talent. He got to wear a Bumble Bee Transformers costume to church! It doesn't get much better than that.
Gracie Bella did not wear her costume for long; about a half hour around the house before her nap. I snapped some shots during that time, of course. She couldn't even wear it once we went trick or treating cause she was in a stroller all bundled up. But, she's always a princess, so she doesn't even need a costume. All it really adds is wings.

Charlie's thinking, "oy. I have such a long day ahead of me."

Levi's costume trunk has no bottom, so he switched it up a few times.

She thinks everything Levi does is so great and funny. I mean, wearing a yellow face...that's genuis!

"There you are Peter."

He was all ready to go trick-or-treating. Not much in this world that's more modivating than candy collection.

Gotta test out our bowl of candy for the trick-or-treaters before we can safely pass it out. He's simply being responsible.
We had to pump ourselves up for the chilly and windy walk through the neighborhood with some tunes and dancing. Levi trick or treating this year was such a difference from last year. One year means so much in a kids' life. He was pretty much a pro this time around. Gracie and I stayed back while he went to the door and handled his business. He was kind of picky about his candy choices. He wouldn't accept anything too creepy or gross, which is pretty common for trick or treat bowls. No spider rings or eyeball gum. Thanks anyway. He asked every person, "what are you dressed up as?" And to one kid who had a rotten pumpkin face mask/hat on he said, "Why do you have that disgusting hat one?" But at least he finished each interview and candy request with a "thanks" and "Have a happy halloween."

She had to have the full experience, even if the wrapper was safely in place on that candy. ssshhh...she doens't know she's missing out.

Look at that perfect little fairy princess. We'll need to reinact the whole thing for daddy once he gets home. He can't miss this little fashion show.

I'm a big believer in costumes and playing dressing up. If nothing else, you get cute photos out of the ordeal, right?

Your boy and girl are adorable as always. And I love that Charlie was Superman, er, I mean Superdog? Too cute.

ha, I love Gracie's face on the last picture. Every girl needs wings sometime! I'm glad the crown fit her for it too!

Levi is a poster boy for Halloween, dress up and go to people's house uninvited, what could be better?

Lots of good costumes there were. Both children are growing so fast. Hard to think of them being that old already, lots of fun.
